What is the difference between a home and a commercial reformer?

Home reformers are lighter, often foldable, and built for one or two users. Commercial reformers have a sturdier frame and carriage made to take constant daily use in a class setting. The Korra folding reformers are commonly used for practice at home but they are commercially graded and therefore would suit consistent use in a studio too.

Are pilates reformers worth it?

If you train regularly, yes. A reformer gives you adjustable resistance and a much wider range of exercises than a mat, which is why it stays useful from beginner level all the way up.
