Our 20mm mats are available in red/blue or red/black. Some prefer to order a mix of both so that 3 colour ‘Zones’ can be created. For instance you might create a red mat with blue fighter starting positions and a black safe area around the perimeter.
Mats are 1m x 1m.
Mats are bi-tone and reversable which facilitiates zonal marking, for example safe areas and fighter start points.
This mates are designed for a long life. Beauty of the pieces though is that if one on the off chance gets damaged you can flip it over or replace that individual piece as opposed to a whole new mat.
The mats are waterproof and easily wipeable.
Our martial arts mats come in two different styles: 5 Line Pattern and Standard Pattern.
The 5 line pattern and standard (knitted pattern) are two different types of markings commonly found on martial arts mats.
The 5 line pattern is a traditional design that features five parallel lines running the length of the mat, with a gap between each line. This pattern is often used for training in disciplines that require linear movement, such as Taekwondo or Karate.
The knitted pattern, on the other hand, is a texture that resembles a woven or knitted fabric. This pattern is designed to provide a non-slip surface that can absorb impact and reduce the risk of injury during high-impact activities such as Judo or Jiu Jitsu.
Both patterns have their own unique benefits and are designed to facilitate specific types of movement and training techniques. Ultimately, the choice between a 5 line pattern and a knitted pattern will depend on the specific needs and preferences of the martial arts school or individual practitioner.
